I believe that we all have the strength and wisdom necessary to heal, and I believe that entering into a supportive and respectful therapeutic relationship can help these strengths and awarenesses emerge, develop, and grow. Therapy is collaborative and creative work that holds potential for growth and healing. Although the work of therapy can be challenging and messy, I also believe joy and humor can be healing. I work from an anti ‘ism’ perspective, and understand the role various forms of oppression play in the development and manifestation of mental health concerns. I do not subscribe to many mainstream beliefs regarding ‘mental illness’; in my experience, most folx with mental health concerns experience these concerns as a result of adverse life experiences and circumstances. I am a Massachusetts licensed LMHC who works from a place of learned and lived experience. I enjoy working with individuals who desire a more fun, functional, and peaceful life. My practice is limited to work with folx whose lived experiences include trauma and dissociation. I have special interest in providing therapy to fellow therapist/survivors, and I am happy to provide supervision and consultation to therapists who wish to deepen their work with clients who dissociate.
