Have you been struggling to find someone who really gets you? And is strong enough to hold space for all your pain? And is willing to accept ALL of your parts as they arise in your therapy sessions? If this sounds like you, I want you to know that you deserve to have your needs met. Your needs are not too much. You are not too much. I am a trauma therapist that specializes in sexual and religious trauma. In my practice, I frequently work with folks who have bravely left abusive relationships, groups, religions, and cults. I, myself, am a former member of a "high-demand group," The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka: the Mormons). I know first-hand how isolating and difficult it can be trying to find yourself and to build a new life after leaving. I would be honored to hear your story and to help you navigate the road ahead.

Treatment Approach

At the core of my approach is a firm belief that true healing cannot happen without a foundation of trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship. The relationship I build with each of my clients is unique, because each of my clients are unique (and each of their internal systems are unique). I know that trust is built over time and so I will respect the time it takes for you (and your system) to gain trust in me.

I work collaboratively with my clients to understand how their internal world operates. I am informed by IFS, although I am not formally trained in the modality nor am I rigid in its application. I won\'t assign your parts labels - you are the expert in your system. But I will always insist that there are \"no bad parts\" and will seek to understand the role that part is playing in the system and how they came into this role.

I am also trained in EMDR and can integrate EMDR reprocessing into your treatment to address extremely distressing memories so they do not intrude on your present life anymore. You survived. Now, you deserve relief.
