Leah Gauvin is a Registered Practical Nurse and Registered Psychotherapist known for her warm, affirming, and trauma-informed approach to mental health care. Fully bilingual in French and English, Leah brings a deeply inclusive lens to her work, specializing in LGBTQ+ counselling, grief support, substance use through a harm reduction lens, and relationship dynamics including Polyamory and Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM). With extensive experience in both nursing and psychotherapy, Leah supports clients of all ages through complex emotional landscapes—identity exploration, trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, and end-of-life care. She creates safe, collaborative spaces where clients can connect with their values, navigate emotional challenges, and build deeper self-awareness. Her work is especially attuned to the needs of queer, trans, and gender-diverse individuals, and she is skilled in using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other evidence-based modalities to support emotional resilience and growth. Leah is also trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy through ATMA CENA, offering clinically grounded, ethically guided support for clients exploring psychedelic therapy and integration. Her practice is rooted in empathy, autonomy, and the belief that everyone deserves care that reflects their lived experience and relational needs. Leah’s diverse clinical background is supported by advanced training in both medical and therapeutic settings. She holds certifications in Gentle Persuasive Approaches and cognitive assessment using the MoCA tool. She has also completed Pallium Canada’s LEAP Core and Pediatrics programs, and is trained as a crisis responder through KHP. This broad foundation allows Leah to integrate medical insight with relational depth—offering clients a balanced, holistic path toward healing and lasting personal growth.
