Navigating life with a dissociative disorder can feel isolating, and finding a therapist who truly gets it is often the first major hurdle. As a therapist with lived experience in the realm of trauma and dissociation, I bring a unique depth of empathy and clinical expertise to my work. I prioritize building a secure therapeutic alliance where every part of your experience is met with kindness and curiosity. I am passionate about helping clients move beyond survival toward a life that feels cohesive and self-understood. I currently offer virtual sessions for residents of Florida, Colorado, and New Jersey. To make specialized trauma care more accessible, I accept many major insurance plans. I am dedicated to making this journey as comfortable and empowering as possible from the very first session.
Treatment Approach
My practice utilizes evidence-based tools specifically tailored for dissociative systems, including:
• EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A structured therapy that helps the brain process traumatic memories so they no longer cause daily distress.
• DBR (Deep Brain Reorienting): A somatic trauma therapy that targets the \"shock\" response in the midbrain, allowing for deep healing at a pace the nervous system can handle.
• TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): A specialized approach designed to help children, adolescents, and their families process the impact of traumatic events and develop healthy coping skills. I have had good success adapting this for adults (and child parts in a grown body!)
