Kaelie Houser

I primarily work with individuals navigating complex trauma and dissociation, including structural dissociation. Many of my clients are highly insightful and have learned to adapt in ways that helped them survive, but may now feel disconnected from themselves, their emotions, or their internal world.

My approach is warm, engaged, and collaborative. I’m an active presence in the room and bring curiousity, directness, and a deep respectful of the complexity of your experience. I don’t assume I know you better than you know yourself. Instead, we work together to create a space where all of you is welcome, at a pace that feels safe and attuned.

A central focus of my work is supporting communication, cooperation, and connection within your system. This might look like getting to know different parts or headmates, building internal awareness, and helping your system develop the capacity to stay present with emotions without becoming overwhelmed. I move slowly and intentionally, honoring dissociation as an adaptive response rather than something that needs to be pushed away. Over time, many clients/systems experience greater internal stability, increased emotional tolerance, and a deeper sense of compassion for themselves and one another.
